Yoga for strength, weight control & quiet time. That' my purpose for it. I work in a social media environment which means, I'm alone most of the day. I skype, G-Chat, Facebook Chat, Email, Text, Twitter & call my contacts for any interpersonal communication. Buzzing, flashing & chirping are my water cooler chit-chat.
I found yoga in itunes, I downloaded a few (All Free) and attempted yoga. Luckily, all the podcasts last between 20-35 minutes and I can hold my attention. Strength built first, then weight control & now patience is emerging.
I find the quiet time to breath so peaceful. Recharging my spiritual, emotional and physical batteries. First thing out of bed & I'm ready. 5 days a week I stretch before the sun rises. I'm lean, happy & all around a calmer person.
For those who want a way to try yoga alone in a safe setting, here is your chance. I started and now I am going to enroll in Yoga classes to get advanced teaching. This is a basic teaching that will help you figure out if yoga is right for you.
